Summary/Contribution of Position
The Assistant Controller will collaborate with Finance leadership team providing monthly financial reports, annual budgeting, and internal controls.
The successful Assistant Controller will have a strong understanding of GAAP, accounting regulations, and best practices.
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Manage general ledger
- Month-end closing
- reporting to bank, local, state, and federal entities
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses
- Supervise team members including work schedules, employee development and ensuring accurate, timely and complete work
- Ensure cross-training of essential responsibilities of direct reports
Qualifications
- BA in Accounting or Finance
- 5 Years' Accounting Experience
- 2 Years' Supervisory Experience
- ERP Software, such as SAP or JD Edwards a plus
- CPA or MBA a plus
- GAAP and Accounting Knowledge
