Volt is hiring General Labors for a local leading vegetable processing organization in Santa Maria, CA.
As a General Laborer, you will :
- Flexible to work 12 hour shifts open to work any shift both morning and afternoons
- Associate works as a crewmember preparing raw food for processing
- Examines, classifies and separates produce on conveyor belt according to grade, color, and size of product.
- Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign material such as metal, glass, wood, plastic, stems, leaves, insects, etc.
- Must notify superintendent, supervisor or QC Inspector immediately upon finding glass, rocks or animals (i.e. bird, rodent, amphibian, etc.)
- May trim product with a knife or paring tool
- Maintains work area clean.
- Will don personal protective equipment (PPE) before commencing work.
- Follows all safety guidelines set forth by the Company.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to work a 7-day week; including holidays.
- Ability to work a rotating shift if necessary.
This is a Full-time 1st Shift Opportunity Pay Rate : $18 / hr,
