The Role:
The Marketing Manager position encompasses key functions across the commercial team at Voltaiq. You will be responsible for launching and running the Voltaiq marketing program, focusing on sales activation and category creation. You will develop the marketing program in close collaboration with Voltaiq founders and key advisors. You will be directly responsible for a marketing-qualified lead quota and for supporting subsequent sales activation through the sales funnel, through both generalized content (one-to-many) as well as targeted account-based messaging (one-to-one). In addition to sales activation, you will develop and execute a plan to establish Battery Intelligence as a major software category, and to position Voltaiq as the clear leader in this space.
Responsibilities:
- Craft core messaging for each of our target markets and use that to support the sales function through collateral generation
- Lead our comprehensive communications program including press release development, media relations, thought leadership, events, among others
- Develop and run a multi-channel marketing program to activate sales-qualified leads
- Work with Sales and Customer Success teams to map the customer activation process
- Identify metrics to track the sales activation process, and develop systems and processes to support data-driven decisions around sales and marketing resourcing
- Deliver on a lead quota in conjunction with the sales team from a combination of new inbound leads, targeted outbound efforts, and existing customer referrals
- Deliver on a marketing plan through both in-house and contract support
- Create internal and external content (case studies, company presentations, product videos, blog posts, white papers, customer surveys, etc) to articulate the product features and capabilities of the Voltaiq platform
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Product teams to define messaging across different customers sectors and ensure effective messaging
- Become intimately familiar with Voltaiq products and capabilities to competently present this information and content to customers
- Work directly with Voltaiq customers to understand pain points and overcome objections
- Iterate on value proposition based on what resonates with customers, and feed these insights back into core messaging
- Up to 40% travel to customer sites and tradeshows
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate, present to, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Knowledge of marketing SaaS enterprise products is a plus
- Experience with corporate networking and information technology teams is a plus
- Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills
- Superior writing skills, with the ability to express ideas succinctly and persuasively, and the ability to edit written copy with an eye for detail and quality
- Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
- Desire and ability to thrive in dynamic, high-demand, fast growing company environment
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in strategic communications, traditional/digital marketing and/or product marketing roles
- Undergraduate or Graduate technical degree with a materials, electrical, mechanical, or electrochemical focus is a plus
- Native speaker ability or high business fluency in one of the following languages is a plus: German, French, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese
