The Software Solutions group within Powertrain Strategic Development is looking for a Fuel Cell Propulsion Software Testing Engineer with focus on embedded software HIL testing and verification.

The Software Solutions group consists of a team of dedicated experts that are responsible for developing, implementing, and testing Embedded Software Solutions to ensure the Fuel Cell propulsion system functionality and performance. This is done using both virtual simulation tools and physical HIL and vehicle testing. We have high expertise in System Modelling and Simulations, Control Development, Software Implementation and testing, and Data Analytics.

THIS IS THE ROLE
As a Fuel Cell Propulsion Software Testing Engineer you will define Fuel Cell Propulsion software test specifications, develop automated test methods & protocols, and lead Fuel Cell Propulsion software HIL testing and verification in close collaboration with Volvo internal stakeholders. You will also provide input to the development of future HIL testing environments.

Another part of the role is to summarize and communicate results from automated software HIL testing to software developers, architects, and system engineers as a base for decision making.

THIS IS YOU
To be successful in this role and enjoy your work we believe that you are an experienced, curious, and methodical engineer with a passion for software testing & verification. You have a broad technical background in the powertrain domain area and like to lead and coordinate software testing activities across different organizations.

You are exploratory and innovative with the ability to drive things to completion, which means that being proactive and willing to take ownership is something you enjoy. Since we are a global organization, it is important that you are fluent in spoken and written English, like teamwork and interaction with people and that you can communicate effectively.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Physics or similar)
• Team player with the mindset to support others and ask for help when needed
• Eager to actively learn new technology
