Sales Development Manager- Powertrain Solutions
- Be identified as the Mack senior, strategic sales expert to help Mack dealer salespersons position and sell the Mack heavy duty truck powertrain solution to key customer business decision makers, owners, drivers, and fleet maintenance operators and managers.
- Identify and develop Mack’s unique selling propositions and differentiators and then use this information to plan, develop and deliver sales presentations to industry customers, partners and trade associations, and corporate and dealer sales teams on Mack powertrain solutions and services that speak to the customers’ current and predicted future needs, concerns and objectives.
- Source feedback from customers, trade organizations, association events and conferences, and press, and other research and use this feedback to lead the corporate and dealer field sales, brand & product, marketing, aftermarket and other cross functional teams to develop sales programs, tools, services, and solutions to drive sales & profitability with Mack powertrain solutions.
- Coordinate with sales operations, marketing, and corporate and dealer sales teams to identify and track the sales pipeline for targeted powertrain solutions to ensure that Mack fully leverages its’ premium brand image to convert customer awareness and qualified leads into quote opportunities, to optimize sales conversion rates and to capture the full value of brand image and product offering from the buyer.
- Support corporate and dealer sales teams in the development and execution of RFQ’s and sales contracts as requested.
- Actively participate in the leadership roles of relevant and targeted industry associations.
- Contribute to commercial organization business and financial targets including work truck segment market share and profitability targets.
- Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements and drive adoption of company programs among assigned partners.
- Adhere to all Volvo Group and Mack Trucks policies, procedures and strategies; ensuring legal compliance at all times.
- Strategic sales planning and business development.
- Thorough knowledge of how to configure powertrain solutions for unique and targeted heavy duty truck applications to optimize driver satisfaction, fuel economy, performance, and uptime.
- Thorough knowledge of the Mack’s solutions and services.
- Thorough knowledge of Mack competitors solution and services.
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling sales and solutions presentations presenting an image that mirrors that of the industry and the customer.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or Marketing.
- 7 years or more proven track record in technical sales, engineering, management or business development experience within a heavy truck, commercial, or capital equipment OEM or Dealer retail environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish/French proficiency a plus.
- Understanding of, and experience in, developing RFQs and sales contracts for work truck customers.
- 50% Travel Required.
