VSI (formerly Virginia Spine Institute), the leading multidisciplinary spinal healthcare practice in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, is seeking a Clinic Manager to join our Regenerative Medicine Center Team. The Clinic Manager oversees the daily operations of our ambulatory surgery center (ASC) ensuring physicians have the resources and services necessary to meet the needs of the patients and financial objectives of the practice. This is a full-time position working out of our Reston office. The position offers competitive pay, full benefits, 401k plan with a Company match, and three weeks of paid time off.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develops and implements proper clinical procedures that ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality
- Monitors, coaches, develops, and evaluates staff including RNs, Clinical Assistants and Medical Assistants
- Manages clinic schedule to include PTO reviews/approvals to ensuring proper staffing for procedures
- Partners with HR to interview and hire clinical staff
- Researches cost reduction opportunities and proposes alternate companies/solutions
- Maintains knowledge of procedures and equipment
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, managers, and physicians
- Assures compliance with all Clinic policies and procedures and governmental regulations pertaining to:
- Controlled substances and legend drugs, including sample medications
- Infection control
- Patient confidentiality
- CPR, ACLS, safety and risk management
- Quality improvement and quality assurance
- Emergency codes and evacuation
- Professional licensure
- DOH, Medicare JCAHO/AAAHC, MQC and all other voluntary and regulatory requirements
- Supports and promotes a positive image of VSI when dealing with patients and others inside and outside the organization
- Produces reports for senior leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years experience managing a clinic, ASC experience a plus
- Operates calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
- Experience managing teams and collaborating with providers
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platforms
- Organized multi-tasker; process-focused and internally motivated
- Conscientious, supportive, stable, patient, thorough and precise; pays attention to details
- Able to utilize creative problem solving when confronted with difficult situations
- Friendly, respectful and cooperative with co-workers; a team player
