Position Summary:
¨ Operations Manager manages all VSP operations in Hyundai Transys Powertrain. Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating all business needs require by the customer and oversees entire operation. Operations Manager is the main source and contact for the customer and VSP personnel for their business and operation needs.
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
¨ Adheres to the VSP policies and procedures
¨ Treat all VSP employees with respect and professional courtesy
¨ Adheres to all required TS16949 standards
¨ Works daily toward ultimate goal of supply correct product at correct time in correct quantity with no downtime.
¨ Oversees inventory control and completes inventory projects as required.
¨ Performs special assignments as required by management or supervisors.
¨ Displays knowledge and skills necessary to perform and assigned duties.
¨ Enforces PPE, safety policies and to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
¨ Conducts training of new or existing employees.
¨ Monitors work operations and provide direction as needed.
¨ Understand operation processes and procedures.
¨ Recommends improvements of process or equipment or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
¨ Communicates to customers (PTA Material Department) on any issues or suggestions.
¨ Builds and sustains positive relationships and handles conflict effectively.
¨ Generates and understand performance reports as directed.
¨ Enforces 5S in all working area and maintain throughout working scheduled hours
Education:
¨ High School/GED
¨ Bachelor’s degree in related fields
Reporting:
¨ Reports to: Operations Director
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
¨ 2-3 years job related experience preferred
Software Skills Required:
¨ GCS – Global Consolidation System
¨ MES – Production Planning Program
¨ PDA – Scanning Device
Other Information:.
¨ Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as customer demand increases
¨ OT required as needed.
