VTG is seeking a General Technician located in our Fabrication Shop in Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities :
General Technician typically works in manufacturing or production environments and is responsible for assisting with fabricating and assembling components and products.
The job description for a Fabrication Technician may include the following duties :
Fabricating parts : Operate machines performing functions such as sawing, cutting, bending, sanding, grinding, and power washing.
Assembly : Installing items such as rivnut, latches, etc.
Facility Management : Maintaining department cleanliness. Organize and maintain stock in facilities outside the laydown area.
Equipment Maintenance : Installing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance.
Safety Compliance : Following safety guidelines to prevent workplace injuries.
Utilizing Tools : Operating various hand tools and machinery involved in the fabrication process.
Qualifications :
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or GED.
Must be a US Citizen.
