Tool Crib Attendent

VTG is seeking a Tool Crib Attendent located in Patuxent River, MD.

• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment.
• The Tools and Parts Attendant keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory, or maintains perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
• Unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools or measures with a micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
• May coat tools with grease or other preservatives using a brush or spray gun and attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool. 
• Inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment, including support equipment. 
• Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. 
• Keeps an inventory of tools and support equipment by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. 
• Order new tools and equipment or repair tools as needed. 
• Experience in an industrial environment with familiarity with heavy machinery, special tools, calibrated tooling, test equipment, common hand tools, and support equipment. 
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 
• Works under moderate supervision.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Requires 1-3 years of related experience. 
• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain base access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
