The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring plant equipment is kept in good electrical / mechanical repair and working order.

Essential job functions
- Install and maintain production equipment with emphasis on equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues in the spirit of continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Troubleshoot controls, electronics, circuits, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Reporting to work regularly and on time.
- Ability to determine defective parts, research and ordering parts to prevent downtime
- Other tasks as determined by Maintenance Supervisor
SKILLS
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 2 years' experience in repairing and troubleshooting in pneumatics, hydraulics, 3 phase motors and industrial wiring in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment
- 1-year industrial electrical or mechanical experience required.
- Familiarity with Spot welding equipment.
- Experience with press brake equipment such as Amada and Trumpf.
- Ability to learn process, equipment specifications and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals and policies
- Good practical sense working with and troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Must be able to communicate clearly.
Other Skills
- Ability to operate various machines, such as: Plant equipment and machinery, voltmeter, control gauges, computer keyboard.
- Ability to operate and have knowledge of various hand and power tools, forklift, scissor lift.
- CMMS experience is a plus
- Robotic experience is a plus
Working Conditions
- Inside, non-climate-controlled environment, variable workdays and hours. Some noise and vibration. Overtime will be required.
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Prolonged standing
- Climb and balance.
- Kneeling, crouching, stooping
Performance Standards Required
- Production equipment maintenance kept up to date and repairs done in timely manner to keep production running on schedule.

Salary : $42,900 - $54,300
