Job Summary: Warehouse associates are responsible for timely and accurate performance of tasks necessary for the receipt, storage and shipment of products and maintaining a positive and professional attitude always. May be assigned inventory control duties. Upon completion of training, must be able to meet department performance standards as determined by Vygon. The warehouse associate is a member of the warehouse department and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for warehouse tasks including timely and accurate loading, unloading, data entry, order picking, and shipping and receiving.
· Majority of time will be spent order picking.
· Maintains condition of work area in a clean, organized and 5S condition always (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
· Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
· Operating forklifts as required.
· Active participation in continuous improvement.
· Attendance.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum of 1-year experience.
Skills and Abilities
· Must be a team player.
· Fluency/literacy in English, strong math and counting skills, ability to read production orders and bills of lading.
· Strong computer skills and the ability to operate various mechanical lifts required.
· Attention to detail and a strong quality orientation is required.
Environmental Conditions:
A standard warehouse environment requiring the frequent use of computers and telephones. Time in the plant areas would involve moderate temperatures, clean room environment and the presence of machinery and power lifts.
Physical Capabilities:
Lifting of items up to 40 pounds may be required. Requires warehouse work with ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
