ROLE OVERVIEW
The Assistant Controller performs General Ledger duties, balance sheet reconciliations, sales tax reporting, cash reporting, month end closing activities and various accounting functions across all Group Legal Entities within a cloud-based accounting environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Performs timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for several companies.
- Documents and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
- Provides weekly cash reporting updates.
- Works closely with department and cross-functional team members to ensure timely and accurate month-end close.
- Actively engages in the continuous improvement of the company’s accounting processes.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or equivalent preferred but not required
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Superior knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Working knowledge of tax laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 preferred
- System automation experience preferred
