The Designer II position consists of fabricating detailed drawings for structures, piping, vessels, and sheet metal components.
Requirements
P&ID and Hydraulic Schematics using ISA and ISO standard symbology.3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor.Packaging 3rd party equipment based on engineering bill of materials, client requirements, and company standards.General Arrangement Drawings.Fabrication Detail drawings for structures, piping, vessels, and sheet metal components.Demonstrate forward thinking Ideas that help grow the team and improve current processes.Help to migrate current file structure from a project server to a newly Implemented PDM software.In the future, this position has the opportunity to have 2 or 3 direct reports, the candidate should have strong leadership skills and be willing to manage people as necessary.Skills
Knowledge of drafting principles for fabrication and assembly; disciplines include, Structural, Piping, and Vessels.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor; specifically, the use of constraints, Frame Generator, and Tube&Pipe & Knowledge of Dynamic Block Creation, Inventor IParts and ILogic is a plus.Ability to work with a flexible mindset to handle multiple product lines and multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to create and modify drawings from engineer-provided markups with high level attention to detail.Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.Experienced in peer review, willing and able to technically review drawings of other designers to provide meaningful updates. before returning to the engineer or customer.Willing and able to participate in the creation and Implementation of drafting and design standards.Able to work in a cooperative environment with multiple disciplines and skill sets.Participation in various "Engineering Functions" such as sizing of vessels, piping, tubing, pump motor packages, and completing various analysis such as weight/cog, structural analysis, FEA etc.Strong understanding of basic manufacturing processes.Education/Experience
HS Diploma a minimum, associate's degree or CAD certification preferred.4 years of experience of designing for skid mounted equipment within a manufacturing setting.Offered Benefits
