About the Industry: At Gore, our global support teams bring together extensive knowledge and collaborate closely to support our diverse portfolio of products that solve complex problems and perform in the most demanding environments.  Learn more at gore.com/products/industries About the Role: We are looking for a Sourcing Category Manager to join our indirect procurement team to support the marketing spend category across multiple divisions located in the Western (Arizona, Montana) and Eastern (Maryland, Delaware) part of the U.S. This candidate will have deep knowledge and experience in procurement best practices with experience leading a sourcing category team for marketing services & goods. In this role you will partner with marketing & sales teams across multiple divisions for supplier selection, bidding, negotiation, developing statements of work, contracts, and performing supplier relationship management activities to deliver value to the Enterprise. This position offers multiple work arrangements, including on-site at any US East (Maryland or Delaware) or US West (Arizona or Montana) facility. Hybrid and fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.* Responsibilities: - Develop the category strategy and implementation plan aligned with company processes and objectives - Leverage data analytics to inform strategy development and establish optimal business case to meet business requirements - Understand industry trends, the competitive environment and our internal performance to integrate benchmarking into sourcing strategies, supplier selections, negotiation plans, and other process &/or decision making - Develop and implement strategic sourcing activities, including but not limited to: spend analysis, benchmarking, supply market analysis, supplier analysis, RFI/RFP building, negotiations, price analysis, contracting, make versus buy analysis & outsourcing product lifecycle management - Develop and maintain a strong network of internal and external partners to ensure business goals are met - Work with business stakeholders and Procurement Specialists to drive the negotiation and implementation of global, country or regional master legal agreements and SOWs with suppliers to mitigate risk, establish favorable commercial terms and maximize savings opportunities across multiple divisions - Consult with the business to guide them on best procurement practices, long term total cost of ownership while protecting IP and business critical priorities. - Develop continuous improvement processes, goals and metrics for the category - Own and manage supplier relationships, supplier performance, development of new suppliers, identify high risk suppliers, and develop risk mitigation plan - Collaborate with the Procurement Specialists on your team with a hands-on approach to ensure efficient core purchasing activities (examples: engagements with suppliers, driving cost-reduction projects and developing supply chain as required)

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: - Minimum 7 years in procurement – with minimum of 3 years strategic category management experience and minimum of 4 years in an individual contributor role such as senior buyer or sourcing specialist supporting an indirect services category - Deep knowledge and experience in developing and leading a category sourcing strategy using formal industry standard sourcing methodologies - Proficient in leading RF(x) process, contract development, creating SOW’s, and negotiation skills - Proficient supplier relationship and performance management - Proficient in stakeholder engagement - Proficient in market intelligence and data analytics - Effectively utilize program and project management tools and techniques while managing multiple complex projects and deadlines - Strong communication and listening skills, teamwork, collaboration, ability to build relationships and affect change remotely, and effectively influence others to ensure successful project outcome while adhering to procurement best practices - Ability to form, prioritize and lead project teams to support indirect service needs across multiple business divisions - Ability to travel up to 5% Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing or Business - CPSM, CPM, SPSM or similar certification - Experience with marketing services procurement and/or experience with international projects *Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. Locations not eligible for new remote work arrangements include: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
