About The Position
W-S Industrial Services is seeking an IT Manager who will be responsible for day-to-day IT operations, leading IT integration due to acquisitions, and being a focal point to our current IT vendors and Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role should be able to provide some basic Level 1 helpdesk support and know when to leverage the various IT vendors that the organization has. This role requires high-level planning, budgeting, and performance management of our vendors.

- Assisting with the evaluation of new software packages
- Participating in Management Meetings regarding IT
- Interfacing with MSP to manage projects, day-to-day activities, strategic planning, hardware procurement, and lifecycle assessment
- Create, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures
- Budgeting and cost management
- Level 1 helpdesk knowledge, including:
- Password resets
- System setups
- General hardware troubleshooting
- General Windows troubleshooting
- Escalating tickets to MSP
- Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience can replace degree requirements
- 5 years of experience
- Strong Desktop support experience, mainly with Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Ability to perform PC migration, setup, and deployments
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Basic networking knowledge
- Knowledge of mobile operating systems (Android and iOS)
- Experience in collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT services with business needs
- Ability to work with users and networks geographically distributed
- Project management experience
- System integration experience due to acquisitions
