Job description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter with a background in mechanical fabrication such as piping systems, pressure vessels and custom assemblies.
Essential Functions:
Work closely with our Engineering team to develop detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical devices, tools and machines using SolidWorks, and other computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
Reproduce drawings and illustrations for operational and instructional manuals as well as maintenance description for the mechanical equipment.
Use mathematical formulas to develop detailed specifications for components and equipment
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting and/or relevant work experience with references.
- Minimum of 2 Years mechanical drafting experience.
- Ability to use mechanical engineering design and analysis tools including SolidWorks and CAD systems.
Additional Desired Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing process such as machining, welding, quality assurance, testing, and assembly.
- Familiarity with welding and machining symbols.
- Worked in a manufacturing environment.
- Official Solidworks Certification (Preferably Professional ).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with tight deadlines.
- Communication Skills.
