Full Job Description
As a Municipal Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing and calculating the costs involved in various projects. Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis and review of project plans, engineering drawings, and other relevant documents.
Utilize software tools like Blue Beam, HeavyBid, AgTek and manual methods to estimate the overall project cost.
Conduct pipe takeoff, concrete takeoff, and earthwork takeoff.
Prepare accurate and competitive bids and proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project's cost and scope are clearly outlined.
Work closely with the project management team, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to information and address any discrepancies.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimations and avoid potential costly errors.
Time management and organizational skills.
Creative problem-solving abilities to address challenges during the estimation process and propose innovative solutions.
Experience in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, AgTek and Excel is a plus.
