Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA) is a nonprofit association (not an insurance company). We are seeking a Marketing Director. This position reports directly to the SVP of Marketing and will interface with all levels of the organization and external marketing partners.

Position Summary
As Marketing Director, you are a pro at managing multiple projects simultaneously. In conjunction with the SVP of Marketing, the successful candidate will take a leadership role in creating, developing, communicating, implementing, and analyzing marketing strategies and plans for WAEPA, helping to raise awareness, win customer loyalty, and boost sales of our brand. You will have the ability to garner consensus from team and stakeholder buy-in on new, complex, or challenging ideas. You will assist in leading a talented in-house marketing department.
We are seeking a candidate with knowledge of finance, especially budget management, including measuring ROI. You will have both business and creative acumen.

Position Accountabilities
The Marketing Director will understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team.
Position Accountabilities include:
- Manage day to day activity of in-house marketing team
- Participate in the development of branding and campaign initiatives
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans, including promotional calendars, programs, and new product introductions
- Develop sales / new business forecasting and product branding plans
- Establish and grow a target market share and scale where appropriate
- Monitor marketing costs and budgets to define ROI, report variances with detailed explanations
- Conduct customer, brand, and product research initiatives
- Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media, and events
- Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts
- Work with new business development/outreach on brand exposure
- Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management
- Supervise a marketing team, including hiring, on-boarding, training, workloads, schedules, and deadlines
- Sift through marketing data to find important trends
- Oversight of thought leadership pieces and PR initiatives
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Required Experience or Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, or communications
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in a marketing leadership role
Measures of Success
- Proven work experience as a Marketing Director or other senior roles
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns resulting in growth
