Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a licensed
Discipline Manager for our Jackson, MS office. The successful candidate will effectively manage all phases of providing technical and thought leadership to staff and clients and provide production resources and tools to Waggoner in execution of projects in this discipline area. The incumbent should have ten or more years of relevant years in this discipline, including five years of direct client interaction and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, and five years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
- Serves as Waggoner’s technical lead in executing the performance of the services included in this discipline area.
- Mentors and develops Waggoner staff in the various skill sets necessary to execute the various service areas within this discipline.
- Facilitates the growth and development of the discipline at Waggoner.
- Ensures client quality expectations are met.
- Determines equipment, software, information, communications, etc., needed for the discipline.
- Conducts personnel performance activities.
- Participates when appropriate in company-wide task forces and committees.
- Handles client technical questions and complaints through the PM, handles client’s complaints politely and efficiently, follows procedure to solve client technical problems in collaboration with PM, maintains pleasant and professional image.
- Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems. Is responsible for the development of “doing the job right the first time” culture for staff in this discipline.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer or ability to gain licensure is desired
