The Masters of Scale (MoS) Assistant Producer is a swiss army knife-esque, ready to dive in - producer who’s a key part of managing content and production for Masters of Scale and all of its branch properties.
The Assistant Producer takes real ownership and responsibility for existing projects alongside the Producers and Executive Producers; manages production, timelines and deliverables; and is a team mate of a creative cross-disciplinary team.
The Assistant Producer works across production, research, development, editorial management, post-production, guest communication, interview recordings and delivery of cutting edge media.
Producer Responsibilities
- Manage production timeline and prioritize activities to complete multiple shows at once
- Manage production and editorial tasks with the team of writers and audio editors
- Book and manage contractors for production deliverables
- Ensure that every audio and video recording, remote or in person, is captured at high quality using best practices
- Assist Hosts, Writers, Producers, Executive Producers and Editors with timelines, deliverables, file management, production, project management and more
- Project manage production and content: research, interview dossiers, writing, audio assembly, editing, fact checking and revision process for highly produced podcasts, ads and special projects
- Work alongside Executive Producers, Producers, Hosts and Writers to prep for and record interviews with show guests
- Assist with communication on logistics and manage the assets with guests and their teams; signed releases, booking local producers or studios, managing assets and more
- Send calendar invites for meetings and interviews, and ensure all necessary team members from the guest’s side are added
- Assist executive producers, producers, writers and partners on scripts and documents to gather and incorporate notes
- Lead the cameo guest interview process and any other secondary interviews for Masters of Scale; booking, attending and leading recordings remotely, assisting writers and producers with interview materials and more
- Participate in creative ideation, brainstorming and supporting WaitWhat workshops
- Onboard new MoS team members
- Work alongside video, design, technology and all WaitWhat teams on content and production creation and management
- Be service oriented with internal and external partners

Qualifications
- 2 years production management experience, ideally within audio, media, or content management
- Proactive problem solving skills and experience as a self starter in taking on projects
- A ferocious appetite to research and figure out tasks you may not be familiar with
- Experience organizing media assets, directory structures and awareness of post-production workflows
- Time management skills to coordinate multiple producer’s projects
- Effective communication with in-house and outside client partners
- Collaborative and a team player
- Bonus: Pro-Tools editing experience
