What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN for Allergy Lab position at WALA Health?
Well established allergy and asthma practice in Henrico County is in need of an experienced LPN to work in their Allergy Laboratory. Responsibilities include the following:
- Skin testing
- Administering allergy injections to patients as ordered by the provider
- Preparing allergy vaccines
- Observing and recording conditions and reactions of patients
- Notifying Lab Supervisor of adverse reactions
- Entering vaccine orders into the system
- Documenting phone conversations
- Attending departmental meetings, and other duties as assigned
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will work well under pressure, have excellent communication skills and proven solid work ethic. Should have a friendly, professional manner in working with all people - staff and patients.
Must have 2 years' experience working as an LPN in a medical practice setting. Previous lab experience is a plus but not required; training tailored to the practice will be provided. Hours are Fulltime, 7:30-4:30, M-F.
