Customer Liaision
Job Description
Answers phone calls, providing information for current and potential new customers
Greets customers as they enter, determining their needs and obtaining information regarding their vehicle issues
Identify vendor invoices to vehicles and designate appropriately
Deliver mail/vendor invoices to Billing Department
Schedule Towing as necessary, per service writer/shop manager
Sweep and clean waiting area and office as necessary
Clerical duties such as filing, shredding documents, as needed
Assist service writer/shop manager with overflow duties as necessary
Organize and distribute parts as they arrive at the direction of the shop manager/service writer
Work with Service Writer/Shop Manager to schedule appointments
Skills necessary:
Customer service experience preferred but not required
Familiarity with vehicles a plus
Hallcon customers – obtain vehicle unit number and mileage
- Call Hallcon maintenance Department to obtain PO number for vehicle
BNSF Customers – Obtain vehicle number and client contact number
- submit to service writer/shop manager for initial authorization
KCS Customers – Obtain vehicle number and location for towing if applicable, as well as client contact number
- submit to service writer/shop manager for initial authorization
Other Fleet customers – obtain vehicle number and issues
- submit to service writer/shop manager for initial authorization
Walk in customers -Obtain name, number, vehicle year make and model and issues with vehicle if an appointment was previously approved
If an appointment was NOT previously approved, refer to service writer/shop manager for approval of appointment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kansas City, MO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
