Accounts Payable Clerk

Walker Tape is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team!

What are the Responsibilities? (But not limited to)

• Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
• Enters new vendors information and kept tracks of W-9’s and process 1099’s
• Organizes and stores all documentation related to vendors and payments processed
• Other related duties as assigned.

Do You Fit the Bill?

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be proficient in QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Excellent organization skills

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to develop strong relationships with potential/current vendors
• High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.

• 2 years of previous Accounts Payable experience

Take Time Off

Once you’re hired, you’ll receive 44 hours of paid time off. After your 6-month anniversary, you’ll earn an additional 60 hours of PTO. Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
