The HR Operations Administrator Role will provide key support to the Human Resources and backup support to Operations across the firm.  

This position is based out of the San Francisco office and open to a hybrid schedule once onboarding and orientation is complete.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Human Resources Support:
    • Play a key role in all parts of the complete employee life cycle; recruiting, onboarding, orientation, benefit administration, performance reviews, promotions, cultural initiatives, off boarding, etc. 
    • Partner with the Facilities and Administration teams to plan, develop and execute on all staff-related goodwill events and programs 
    • In combination with the HR Director, drive the Annual and Mid Year performance review, promotion and compensation programs
    • Assist with HR COVID-19 related responsibilities
    • Track and coordinate recurring harassment prevention trainings
    • Play a key role in future people focused firm wide initiatives; refresh of performance management program, HRIS implementation, ongoing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion integration, maintaining a supportive and efficient hybrid work environment, etc. 
    • Provide ad hoc support to firm wide projects as needed; timesheet compliance, software implementation, etc. 
    • Assist with general year end updates to the Dub Hub (assist with employee handbook updates, update HR posters, new hire paperwork updates, etc.)
  • Operations Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the Director of Architectural Operations (DAO) for Architecture Operations including scheduling, meeting coordination, preparation and follow up, resourcing coordination and tracking, etc.
    • Compose and edit general correspondence, memos, and other documents
    • Assist DAO with implementing the project and resource planning modules of the Deltek Vantagepoint software application
    • Assist with weekly staffing assignments in Deltek Vantagepoint (once implemented)
    • Assist in the continued development of the Asana Project Delivery Checklists
    • Assist in the maintenance of general Knowledge Management initiatives
    • Assist with quality assurance and quality control for projects across the firm
    • Provide backup support to Facilities and Administration teams including coordination of key events, front desk coverage and other tasks as identified
    • Provide backup support to the Office Administrator including front desk coverage, timecard management, reporting, etc.
    • Provide backup support to the Executive Assistant including schedule coordination and coverage, ad hoc requests and support as needed by the Principals 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; AA, BA, or BS degree in Human Resources or other related field, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and thoroughness; good problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Proactive and able to work independently with good judgment and minimal direction
  • Highly organized and capable of effectively handling multiple projects and tasks concurrently with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Adaptable and resourceful in handling shifting, sometimes competing, priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude
  • Ability to interact with clients and employees alike with utmost and consistent professionalism
  • Must maintain strict confidence and discretion around highly sensitive and confidential information

 

Compensation and Benefits

Walker Warner Architects offers a competitive compensation package including fully paid health benefits for employees, profit sharing, employer 401(k) contribution, generous paid time-off and flexible spending accounts, plus so much more. 

The hiring hourly wage for this position is $31.25 to $41 per hour. Any offer of compensation will be determined by a candidate’s education, skills, and experience as assessed during the interview process.
