We are seeking an experienced
IT Support Specialist to join our team. The incumbent will report to our Senior IT Systems Engineer and will be responsible for providing technical IT assistance to our computer users throughout our five facilities. This position can be based from our facility in Madison Heights, Michigan or Cincinnati, Ohio.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software, and firmware.
- Set up equipment for employee use, ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software for new and existing employees.
- Support the configuration and implementation of various IT related projects and system upgrades.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical hardware, software, and networking problems reported by local and remote users.
- Install, configure, and support computer hardware and software.
- Microsoft Active Directory administration
- Document, track and monitor problems, installation activities, or remedial actions taken ensure a timely resolution.
- Confer with users, managers, and other stakeholders to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to perform work related travel up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications and Attributes:
- Associate degree in a Information Technology or related field or equivalent (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in Information Technology troubleshooting issues with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365 including Teams and OneDrive, and networking.
- Basic understanding of the relationship of patch panels, switches, wireless access points and firewalls.
- Prior experience with Office 365 portal and MS Active Directory
- Fundamental understanding of virtual machine concepts.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic with attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and adhere to established deadlines.
- Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
