Position: Supervisor of Elections
Salary Range: $3,996 to $5,355/month, Starting Salary: DOE, DOQ
Location: Auditor’ Office

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize, coordinate, and carry out all phases of elections processes for the County Auditor’s Office in accordance with Federal, State and County laws. Oversee the election division including voter registration, election administration, hiring of election board workers, educating the public and maintaining operational equipment. Responsible to assure efficient and effective utilization of personnel, funds, materials, facilities, and time. See that all election activities are performed in accordance with the requirements of RCW Title 29A and standards set by the Secretary of the State. Position serves as lead worker and is responsible for supervising election personnel and volunteers, including temporary election board workers. Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Work is performed in an office environment. Keyboarding at 45 wpm minimum. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and more frequently during elections. May be required to operate a county vehicle. Walking, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time. Will include bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting. Visual and hearing acuity and finger dexterity to perform the pertinent functions.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) year college degree, coursework in Business or Public Administration or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three (3) or more years previous experience conducting elections or combination of experience to effectively perform job duties listed in the above job descripion. Additional related college education and work-related experience may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
