What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asset Protection Associate position at Walmart?
- Keep vestibules clean and clear of spills and trash.
- Monitor the front of the store for safety and security risks.
- Respond to the entrances during Inclement Weather by getting mats down, safety cones visible, cleaning up residual water etc.
- Assist in emergency situations.
- Greet. Help. Thank all customers as they enter and exit the store
- Act as a visual theft deterrent (NOTE: AP Service Team Associate is NOT an Authorized Associate, as defined in policy AP-09, and can only act as a witness to an investigation or detention from a safe distance).
- Mark items coming in for return.
- Check receipts on unbagged items.
- Remove and deactivate merchandise protection devices.
- Conduct associate package checks in select states.
- Report suspicious activity to the AP Investigators, AP Team Lead or AP Ops Coach.
