Job Description

Auto Care Center Department Manager

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions
A n individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Maintains area of responsibility in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and o rganizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.

Provides customer service by acknowledging the customer, identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues and concerns, promoting products and services, maintaining a safe shopping environment, and appropriately representing and supporting the company's mission.

Provides Tire and Lube Express (TLE) products and services to customers by identifying customer needs, explaining TLE products and services, processing, and ensuring customer safety and satisfaction.

Operates equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.

Provides supervision in the department by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback and follow-up, monitoring performance, teaching and supporting company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates.

S upports the achievement of financial goals by managing the Customer Inventory Flow Process and SWAS planning.

Receives and stocks merchandise throughout the facility and organizes the backroom by following company safety, cleaning, and operating procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, setting up displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.

Leads Inventory Operations - Helps associates understand and apply safe and correct ways to handle, move, and display goods, and does the same in own work. Carries out the inventory process to help improve replenishment and receiving and to reduce shrinkage. Identifies poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area, and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Demonstrates and helps others with the safe and p roper use and maintenance of inventory tools and equipment.

Leads Point-of-Sale - Operations - Helps Associates understand and apply ways to prevent shrink and follow applicable laws and regulations when selling items to Customers, and does the same in own work. Identifies Customers who need help and shares accurate information with them on payment methods, return policies, and location of items. Helps others perform cash register functions and complete Customer sales. Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas, and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Ensures cash register equipment is in proper working order and supplies are stocked.

Enhance Experience in the Store - Supports the Store of the Community and suggests merchandise to Management that meets the needs of local
Customers. Plans for Customer service and sales based on events outside the Store (for example, weather, gas prices, local events). Stays current on competitors prices, products, and displays to suggest to Management ways to improve the Store. Recommends ways to provide a convenient, s afe, and pleasant shopping experience for Customers. Shows Associates how to address Customer, merchandise, and Store issues.

Leads Stocking/Receiving Operations - Helps Associates understand and apply ways to prevent theft and loss when stocking, receiving, maintaining, and securing goods, and does the same in own work. Carries out the stocking and receiving operations process to receive, stage, and deliver goods for appropriate areas throughout the Facility. Identifies problems with products, services, and conditions in the stocking/receiving area, and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Ensures stocking/receiving equipment is working properly and supplies are in order, and uses these practices in o wn work.

Leads TLE Sales Operations - Ensures Associates follow safety and security guidelines and related laws and regulations when handling TLE products, and does the same in own work. Identifies Customers who need help and shares accurate information with them on TLE products and services. Ensures others provide TLE products and meet Customer needs, and does the same in own work. Recognizes poor or unsafe TLE p roducts, services, and work areas, and reports them with ideas for corrective action.

Customer/Member Centered: Satisfy the Customer/Member - Uses information and feedback to determine customer/member expectations. Works with others to exceed customer/member expectations. Seeks out ways to improve customer/member service. Teaches others how to find and use
