Summary
As a Financial Leader, you will be responsible for all financial operations, ensuring regulatory loan compliance, fund sourcing, daily loan life cycle management and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership. You will manage a team of financial professionals and contribute to the development and execution of our financial strategies.
Financial Strategy and Relationship Management:
- Develop and closely monitor plans to enhance banking relationships and secure lending commitments, including the preparation and review of proforma and periodic updates.
- Identify and pursue new institutional banking relationships through methods such as cold calling, following up on warm leads, networking, and leveraging Wan Bridge's marketing resources.
- Review and negotiate term sheets provided by lenders.
- Arrange and conduct regular business check-in meetings with both existing and potential lenders.
- Consult with lenders to understand their lending and investment objectives, educating them about Wan Bridge's products and track record to strengthen lending relationships.
Documentation and Transaction Management:
- Review and/or prepare offering memorandums for prospective projects to provide to lenders.
- Effectively communicate progress, timelines, and transaction requirements to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth transaction closings.
- Lead the closing process, ensuring timely delivery and thorough review of required documents to complete transactions swiftly.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Accounting, and Marketing Departments to ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements for closed loans.
- Escalate high-level risk issues to the Finance Department.
Reporting and Coordination:
- Compile customized reports, presentations, and spreadsheets for clients and advisors.
- Coordinate prompt and comprehensive responses to inquiries related to investment, operations, compliance, and administration from lenders and investors.
- Participate in property inspections and market tours, including necessary travel.
- Lead and support Finance team initiatives, including software and systems implementation, and contribute to departmental or firm-wide improvements through research, planning, and implementation.
- Special projects and backup support for Accounting & Finance overlap.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance is required, MBA is preferred.
- Four (4) plus years of experience in Real Estate Finance is required, REIT experience is preferred.
- Have a strong understanding of real estate investment ventures and the real estate development process.
- Establish trust with key internal stakeholders with integrity, credibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Has a sense of urgency, and initiative to get things done.
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong operational knowledge and a proven ability to present detailed financial concepts verbally and in writing.
- Keep abreast of internal/external market activity and be knowledgeable on overall housing market trends.
Essential Functions:
- Typical work schedule, Monday through Friday, with after-hour support in peak times
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
