What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Teacher Assistant position at Wang Qi Art Institute?
*Candidates must submit a portfolio with application in order to be considered*
Responsibilities:
- Teaching a group of young students in visual arts in mediums including but not limited to pencil, pen, marker, colored pencils, watercolor, gouache, oil paint, and acrylic.
- Maintain studio cleanliness
- Manage student registration, student performance, as well as other necessary documentations related to the operation of the studio
- Able to provide professional artistic teaching and guidance to students K-12
Qualifications:
- Current college students pursuing (intern) or graduates that have obtained a degree of Bachelor of Art Education, Fine Art, Studio Art, or a related field
- Experience in art education is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, detail-oriented, and organized
- Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Able to provide reliable transportation on your own
- Possesses a valid driver’s license and is able to drive a vehicle of your own
- Fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to drive a vehicle of your own
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
