Kitchen & Bath Designer

We are currently looking for a Kitchen & Bath Designer for our Madison, Maine region.

This person would be responsible for providing prompt, courteous service to customers in the store and on the phone. This person would process sales, returns, payments to account and project estimations. The Designer also functions in a support role for external sales staff. This position will require cooperation with all supervisory staff, delivery drivers, and store personnel. This position reports to the Store Manager and takes sales direction from the Kitchen and Bath Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately measuring and designing layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, offices and laundry rooms.
• Help clients select materials best suited for their project.
• Follow all company policies and safety standards.
• Assist customers in the store in a prompt, professional manner.
• Completes project estimation for customers.
• Supports outside sales effort by providing quotes and writing orders.
• Sources special order material from vendors.
• Follows guidelines to achieve sales and margin goals.
• Perform tasks deemed necessary by supervisory staff.

Requirements:

• Experience in sales or previous knowledge in kitchen installation.
• 2 years knowledge of building materials and the construction process preferred.
• Experience in 20/20 Design Software preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work on numerous projects at one time.
• Basic computing skills and familiarity with Excel and Word
• Ability to see, hear, and respond to customers.
• Ability to read, understand, and act upon written language.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Working Conditions:

This position is performed in a temperature controlled environment. The Kitchen & Bath Designer may be asked to perform duties outside that are in an open warehouse or in elements where they may be exposed to extreme heat, cold and rain. The Kitchen & Bath Designer will also be expected to visit sites to get measurements.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Orrington, ME: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• 20/20 Design Software: 1 year (Preferred)
• high level of customer service: 1 year (Required)
• kitchen and bath design: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary : $40,000 - $55,000
