DevOps Engineer ‎

Wargaming is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform DevOps team.
The goal of the Platform Team at Wargaming is to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience to our players, decrease development costs and reduce the hurdles to publishing new titles. We seek to accomplish this by creating a common set of scalable, data-centric services and tools.

Our Platform DevOps team closes gaps between software development and its operation and deployment, helps to maintain the sustainability of global distribution and operation of all Wargaming studios and connects us to our 100 million audience. 

We are responsible for various services in Wargaming such as high-load gateways, game inventory storages, and payments. We offer you the greatest opportunity to become our excellent and reliable teammate and s up with high responsibility for automation of deployments and configuration, consultancy on the production environment, incidents' resolution, and similar regular operations.

What will you do?

• Create and improve CI/CD processes

• Deploy and monitor infrastructure and apps in public cloud and self-hosted infrastructure

• Develop and perfect scripts, and deployment and operation processes for the infrastructure and web apps

• Participate in designing solutions utilizing cloud services for the project’s needs

• Deploy new monitoring tools and improve the existing ones, cutting costs

What are we looking for?

• Proven knowledge of Docker

• Proven knowledge of Python/Bash

• Proven knowledge of Linux, and experience administering it (troubleshooting, system tools)

• Experience with complex, multi-component web apps

• Experience with configuration managements systems and IaC tools (Puppet/Fabric/Ansible/Terraform)

• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies, and experience with the tools (Jenkins)

• Experience with pipelines creation

• Experience with Redis/PostgreSQL/Nginx/ELK/Prometheus

• Problem analysis skills, ability to locate bottlenecks

• Attentive, responsible, able to take decisions promptly

• Well-developed communicative skills

• Ability to work in stressful situations or under pressure

• Russian and English language skills

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Strong foundation with relational database technologies (MySQL/PostgreSQL/etc) and their performance tuning

• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

• Experience with public clouds: GCE, AWS, Azure, etc.

• Experience with Kubernetes/Nomad/Istio

• Experience with RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/Consul/Kafka
