Warner Norcross Judd LLP has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in our Bloomfield Hills office. This position provides secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, aiming to enhance the ability of the firm to deliver exceptional client service in a cost effective, timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent proofreading and writing skills, the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

About the Opportunity
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare detailed legal work product to ensure documents in proper legal form, ranging from simple to very complex while fully utilizing firm technology
- Proofread all documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and professional appearance
- Maintain electronic and hard copy open files according to firm standards
- File documents to an electronic document management system
- Provide backup assistance to reception and general service areas to support the business needs of a regional office
- Perform other administrative duties such as docketing, calendar maintenance, travel, business expense reimbursements, conference room reservations, dictation, opening and filing mail, assembling binders
About You
- Legal secretary/legal studies degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- Experience in transactional and/or family law practice areas preferred
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM
- Excellent grammar and writing skills
- Ability to handle privileged and confidential information with discretion
