What are the responsibilities and job description for the WHS Police Officer - Washington, PA - Full Time Midnight Shift - $21.00/hour (ACT 120 preferred) position at Washington Health System?
The WHS Police Officer assists the professional staff in maintaining safety and security of Washington Health System premises and controls parking garages and surface lots to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. This position responds to emergencies, write reports, document and record daily activities, and investigate unusual and criminal conduct. The WHS Police Officer will respond to and resolve problems and disputes, remove unwanted, unauthorized or disruptive individuals from any Washington Health System properties, and execute lawful arrests if necessary. This position will work in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, control evidence, document and report lost and found property and other valuables, and testify in court as required. This position will provide excellent customer service to patients/family and visitors and provide escort services as needed. The WHS Police Officer is responsible for meeting and maintaining established medical and policing protocols. At a minimum, must perform established Washington Health System Core WHS Police Officer Skills & Responsibilities.
ACT 120 PREFFERED; OR ACT 235 OR ACT 2 REQUIRED with 3-5 years experience
Shift: Must be able to work all days and shifts
Hours: 40 hrs per week
