Job Title Financial Systems Trainer Primary Location The Woodlands, Texas Employee Type Employee Job Description Waste Connections is currently seeking a talented Financial Systems Trainer to assist in the development and support of our financial software applications. This candidate will communicate and recommend complex business processes and procedures and relevant information to resolve internal customer issues. Responsibilities include: Provide 1st line support to field personnel in the troubleshooting and resolution of a variety of financial applications. Prepare user guides for applications Design, develop and maintain content for Accounting SharePoint training site Analyzing business processes and performing in-depth work analyses Scope design and testing of new reports and tool enhancements as needed Special projects as assigned Ideal Candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field. (Accounting / Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline) 3 years technical/application support Database development experience preferred An interest in and ability to understand financial reporting, accounting concepts and related accounting data. (Accounting experience a plus) Experience developing/troubleshooting solutions using MS SQL Server, VBA. Advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems Experience with Crystal Reports, MS Access, Dot Net a plus. An ability to articulate technical topics to a non-technical audience Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities You will be joining a team environment and colleagues who embrace a “work hard, play harder” culture.
