Key responsibilities include:
- The Director of Training and Development plays a strategic role where he/she is in charge of approving and developing effective training programs and materials, making regular modifications to programs where necessary.
- The Director of Organizational Talent and Development also plays a leading role in the development and documentation of the training path for key positions within the business and communicating this information as needed.
- Drive training solutions across Wastequip manufacturing sites.
- Develop, create, and implement training programs for Lead, Supervisor, Plant Manager and for other operational needs
- Plans, organizes, and leads training programs, ensuring proper execution at all levels of the department. The Director of Talent and Development also ensures consistency in the delivery and application of training standards across the business and oversees the planning, prioritization, and development of new training programs and initiatives, ensuring that these programs and initiatives are consistent with the business overall strategies, objectives, and needs.
- Responsible to monitor and ensures the achievement of results within the approved training department budget. The Director of Training and Development also plays mentorship role to key personnel in the training.Identify and/or facilitate process improvement projects (Kaizen), training and workshops to drive a cultural change while meeting/exceeding annual cost save targets.
- Utilize appropriate tools to document current conditions, establish target condition and carry out documented project plan to reach target conditions.
- Define, document and develop employee training programs to promote personal development of employees and build growth from “within”.
- Establish, document, share, and coach best practices within the division.
- Maintain ownership of Policies, Programs, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure customer expectations are met and consistency of products and product quality between facilities is maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or related fields.
- 15 years technical professional and people management in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated track record of people and organization leadership at all levels of required.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organizations, both internal and external.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
