Position Summary

Warehouse Agents perform basic material handling duties in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities range from checking-in deliveries and preparing outbound freight to quality assurance and general warehouse upkeep. Warehouse Agent IIs also perform more specialized logistics tasks using warehouse machinery and software.

Job Duties

· Receives goods into the warehouse while adhering to established processes.

· Matches incoming freight to the packing lists and/ or manifests.

· Assists in cycle counting physical inventories as required.

· Keeps the warehouse clean and orderly through the proper disposal of used or worn packaging materials.

· Assists in the maintenance of forklifts, item pickers, and other warehouse equipment.

· Verifies shipping labels for outbound freight while coordinating with Customer Service and Drivers.

· Documents inventory by recording location, labeling, and assisting in the management of supplies in stock.

· Prepares outbound orders by locating, picking, inspecting items from storage bays, and logging necessary records and documentation. 

· Loads and unloads trucks while working in a team of other Warehouse Agents. 

· Assembles and prepares pallets for shipping based on the requirements of the freight order.

· Performs quality assurance of outbound freight.

· Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

· Proficient in the use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scan-guns.

· Basic proficiency using warehouse management software in conjunction with other warehouse tools and hardware. 

· Must be forklift certified or able to pass training and certification.

· Basic knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). 

· Works effectively with all levels of the organization including external customers.

· Displays accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.

· Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.

· Regularly meets the company’s expectations of attendance and punctuality.

· Capable of performing job duties independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED (Associates Degree Preferred)

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse/ freight role.

· Minimum 1 year of experience with warehouse inventory and receiving software.

Physical Requirements

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s essential functions require the following physical demands: carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, crouching, significant finger dexterity, and some climbing. Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 35 pounds. The job is performed in a warehouse setting with temperature variations and requires the use of safety shoes and high visibility clothing.

Pay Range: $21.50 - $24.50, depending on experience
