Job Title: Dental Front Desk Receptionist
Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our dental practice as a Dental Front Desk Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk.
Responsibilities:
Patient Check-in and Check-out: Greet patients warmly as they arrive, assist with registration, and update patient information in the electronic records system. Collect and verify insurance information, schedule appointments, and handle patient check-out processes, including collecting payments and providing receipts.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage the dental appointment calendar, schedule new patient appointments, and coordinate with the dental treatment coordinator and clinical staff to ensure optimal utilization of resources. Confirm appointments and send reminders to patients as necessary.
Phone and Email Communication: Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries. Respond to email inquiries and maintain effective communication with patients, dental providers, and team members.
Patient Intake and Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records, including personal information, medical history, insurance details, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA) and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients, communicate coverage details to patients, and assist in clarifying insurance-related inquiries. Coordinate with the dental treatment coordinator and billing department to ensure accurate billing and claims submission.
Office Administration: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as maintaining inventory of office supplies, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and organizing patient files. Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with dental practice management software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with dental providers and staff.
