Waterhouse Ridge Memory Care is seeking a Full Time Medication Technician
SHIFT AVAILABILITY:
-1st available shift: Sun. - Thu., Swing (1:45 pm - 10:15pm)
-2nd available shift: Tues.-Sat., Swing (1:45pm-10:15pm)
-Full Time Day Shifts Available
Med Techs responsible for all duties related to safely administering medications and treatments to the residents. The Med Tech position contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment and has a passion for serving seniors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol
· Maintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s information
· Notifies Resident Care Coordinator and Heath Services Director of resident changes of condition
· Assists with monthly medication records as needed
· Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
· Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights
· Fill in for a caregiver when needed
· Capable of assisting in care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 pounds
· Keep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills
· Processes medication orders timely based on building procedures
· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff
Other Requirements:
· High school graduate preferred.
· Proficiency in English required.
· Attends in-services monthly required for position.'
