The Watertown Daily Times has an immediate opening for a loading dock associate. Dock personnel are responsible for the loading and unloading of our products during production hours. Available hours are Monday-Saturday, 5 pm-3:30 AM. Working on the dock requires moving pallets ranging in weight from 3,000 to 6,000 pounds with the use a pallet jack as well as building/stacking pallets. Dock personnel are also trained to provide our carriers with the appropriate quantity of newspapers as per their specific routes.
Experience in keeping track of scheduling, such as route schedules, truck departure/arrival times as well as knowledge in writing and maintaining Bills of Lading are preferred skills.
Additional Requirements:
Lifting up to 25lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, and twist
Moving freight with tools, such as pallet jacks
Provide customer service to route-carriers
