Description - External
Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, under the supervision of a physician and by prescription. Applies the cardiopulmonary process to plan and implement the care of patient, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Reports to: Manager of Cardiopulmonary
Qualifications - External
Minimum Education
Equivalent from two year college or technical school, or successful completion of AARC approved Certification Program.
Required Skills
Standard patient care equipment, computer documentation
The ability to work well under pressure to function dependently and independently.
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS) X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) X Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) X Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certifications may be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Licenses: State of TN, RRT or CRT (ABG Endorsed)
