The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Reporting to the Finance Director- Operations/ Supply Chain, you will be responsible for financial oversight of multiple manufacturing sites, including Watts’ flagship facility located in Franklin, NH. You will supervise a staff of 4-6 employees managing the accounting, cost records, and internal control requirements of the sites as well as supporting the Site Operations Leaders and partnering with the Site management teams to drive business/manufacturing results. You will rely heavily on analytical abilities and experience to sort through complex data and prepare meaningful analyses to inform and influence management (e.g. performance metrics, ROI analyses, cost reduction opportunities, etc.). As a member of both the Site Manufacturing teams and the America’s Finance team, you will work cross functionally to identify areas of improvement in processes and operations. You Will: Oversee plant accounting/cost accounting and financial reporting responsibilities for the Manufacturing Sites. Work with Operations leaders to identify and measure ways for improving the profitability of the business. Direct the analysis, investigation, and reporting of variances to standard, budget, and prior periods, as well as recommend corrective/improvement actions. Coordinate the development of annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plans. Ensure the development and maintenance of accurate standard costs. Manage product costing and profitability analysis, including make/ buy assessments. Oversee month-end financial close including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll, etc. Present monthly financial reviews to Site Management and the region’s Senior Management team. Develop weekly financial performance projections as well as formal monthly forecast updates. Direct the compilation and review operation metrics (KPI’s) for Site Management. Analyze capital investment requests and ensure appropriate returns on investment while managing risks. Provide support for the Site’s Inventory reporting requirements and reduction efforts. Manage the inventory cycle count program, audit results, and ensure overall program compliance Ensure maintenance of accurate and complete financial records in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, GAAP, and Watts Accounting Policies and Procedures. Ensure a strong system of internal controls exists and is properly monitored. Develop and maintain local accounting policies and procedures as necessary. Oversee Payroll process, accuracy and compliance with Department of Labor Laws Provide financial measurement support for site projects (i.e. VAVE, Productivity, Cost Reduction, etc.) You Have: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred 10 years of experience in a managerial and/or leadership role in finance or accounting for a manufacturing company. Thorough knowledge of financial performance drivers, accounting principles, procedures and systems with a solid understanding of accounting and internal controls. Experience researching, retrieving, organizing, and summarizing data to prepare reports, financial journal entries, and financial analysis. Desire to lead team and assist with driving business results. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. The ability to interface and work effectively with business partners Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP and financial systems; QAD and Hyperion are a plus.
