Under general supervision, the primary responsibility is providing classroom instruction for EMS courses. Other duties include, but are not limited to, curriculum development and evaluation, committee assignments, student recruitment, and student advising. Requires strong organizational skills, good communication skills, an ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction and include technology in the teaching of classes, and familiarity with all aspects of the EMS field. Must be accessible to students and maintain positive relationships with industry-related organizations and businesses. The successful applicant will be responsible for completing requirements to obtain and maintain a current teaching certification from the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.

Education and Experience Requirements: - Twenty-four months (4,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience as a fully qualified worker in the occupational area, of which 2,000 hours shall be within the previous five years. One year (2,000 hours) of related occupation experience may be waived if the occupational instructor has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within five years.
- Current State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) EMS Instructor II certification at the Paramedic level, or current DHS EMS Instructor I certification at the Paramedic level with ability to obtain Instructor II by start date.
- Current State of Wisconsin EMT Paramedic licensure (or equivalent, including Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician).
- Eligibility for WCTC Credentialing System.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and instruct quality education programs.
- American Heart Association BLS Instructor; ACLS and PALS Instructor preferred.
- Technology-based, simulation, and scenario-based instruction experience desirable.
- Two years EMS teaching experience in a technical college is preferred.
- Current WTCS Emergency Services Instructor I certification is preferred.

Position HoursHours for this position varies between days and evenings.
InterviewThis position will have a first interview on Thursday, April 23, 2020. Selected candidates will be required to do a teaching demonstration; topic of teaching demonstration will be provided to you upon selection.
If you are out of state, we do offer the ability to do the first interviewing using the Skype interface. If you are selected as a final candidate, you will be required to be onsite for a second interview. Travel will be reimbursed up to $300.
