What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder position at Waukesha Foundry?
Grinding:
· Remove excess material from complex and intricate castings using grinding tools
· Able to read paperwork and maintain surface finishes, contour, and dimensions of castings
· Maintain critical dimensions of castings
· Knowledge of when and how to change abrasive wheels
Sand Blast:
· Able to adjust air for abrasive mixture as necessary to remove excess material and provide a clean looking surface
· Able to clean intricate/complex surfaces of castings and maintain dimensions
· Able to hold all necessary contours of castings while providing a surface free of any debris
General:
· Safe operation of hoist
· Read and understand master sheets
· Use basic arithmetic functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide
· Work safely in a team environment
· Maintain proper housekeeping for work area
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Working conditions: Normal foundry atmosphere.
