What are the responsibilities and job description for the Over the Road Driver position at Waukon Feed Ranch?
At Waukon Feed Ranch, agriculture and family are the roots of our business. Our mission is to
grow and develop our customers, employees, and community through providing products and
services needed for a vibrant rural economy. The Class A CDL Over the Road Driver
contributes to our mission by hauling product wherever it is needed all over the United States
and bringing feed ingredients back into our local feed mill.
As a Class A CDL Over the Road Driver a typical day may include the following:
• Transport and deliver freight over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner
• Hook and unhook trailers, back up tractor and trailer, ensure all product is
loaded/unloaded
• Install and remove tire chains as required by weather
• Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips
• Follow all FMCSA logbook requirements, complete all necessary paperwork, maintain
records
• Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events
• Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws
• Out on the road 5 days per week
