Cross Dock Lead

• Dock planning & scheduling
• Scanning, Processing, and Reporting Inbound/Outbound Freight for various customers
• Ensuring safety rules, company policies, and regulations are followed
• Monitoring performance & coaching employees
• Overseeing the number of stops, weight, and condition of load prior to truck departing terminal to ensure error free delivery routes
• Responsible for processing claims(damage/loss) and returns through customer specific processes and documentation
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Assist in creating a work environment and workforce that maintains high service quality levels
• Protecting and securing all loads to ensure no damage occurs in transit
• To effectively communicate with management
• Assist in monitoring truck maintenance schedules and daily damage inspections
• Responsible for all aspects of freight movement inbound and outbound of our facility. Includes multiple levels of scanning, inventory checks, freight receiving, freight tendering, Complete over/short/damage reports, and complete oversite of our customer products while they are in our facility

Required Work Experience

• 2 years dock or leadership experience
• Operational experience in cross-docking and loading of trucks
• Preferred background in handling of furniture or home appliance

Skills and Requirements

• Ability to pass a 50 state criminal background check
• Must pass a drug test
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Flexible and ability to adjust to situations that present themselves daily
• Mechanically inclined
• Completion of High School diploma or GED
