Site Monitor
Summary/Objective:
The Site Monitor is responsible for continuously evaluating site conditions as assigned during the duration of their shift. They keep constant communication with team members and supervisors and immediately report concerns to the appropriate party. No prior experience is necessary. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Becomes familiar with assigned project site and monitor conditions as assigned.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with team member, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Performs routine cleaning, inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects and needed repairs to the Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Reads, listens to and follows plans, material lists and guidelines to complete work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, taking every precaution to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Works both independently and collaboratively on job sites.
- Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each job.
- Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
- Submits accurate records of completed work and materials usage to Supervisor each day.
- Follows all company policies and procedures and safety requirements.
- Follows all client required safety policies and procedures.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license at all times.
Work Environment
- Construction site environment.
- Requires working in all weather conditions, including very hot (above 90 F degrees) and very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, rain, snow, etc.
- Requires working in very bright or very dark lighting conditions.
- Exposure to loud, distracting, or uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
- Work around hazardous equipment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Talk and hear
- Sit for long periods of time and drive in rough terrain
- Walk on various types of terrain/ground conditions, including but not limited rough, uneven, or muddy conditions.
- Bend or twist at head and neck, including looking behind and from side to side.
- Bend or twist at the waist.
- Stand, walk, reach, push and pull, and use hands for grasping, and fine manipulation.
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move over 50 pounds.
- Work outside in all weather conditions, including hot, humid conditions for extended periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Schedule
This is a full-time position. Weekday, evening, weekend, and overtime work may be required
Travel
Flexibility to travel to and work on projects throughout the southeastern United States, primarily in Florida is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Bilingual is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record.
- Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements which may include any or all of the following: criminal/civil background check, motor vehicle record search, pre-employment drug screen in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
