As the Community Manager, you epitomize our mission to provide referral-worthy living experiences for the communities we serve.  You should be a “self-starter” who needs minimal direction and can work independently.

 What you can expect to do in this role…

  •  Operations Management –You will oversee all phases of the prospect/resident lifecycle including addressing and solutioning resident concerns, risk management, property repairs, resident disputes and renewal offers. You will foster a positive, pro-active, and collaborative relationship with vendors, suppliers, other communities, and associated agencies. You will cultivate a strong and inclusive partnership with your onsite team and ensure all back and front of the house operations run seamlessly and with a laser focus on excellence. 
  • Talent Development – You will be a strong recruiter, coach, and leader of a high-performing team of leasing and maintenance professionals that consistently exceed business goals and objectives. You will actively network with industry talent to cultivate a strong bench of potential future candidates. You will galvanize your team to follow your lead and you will do it with a sense of purpose, fun and enthusiasm.
  • Financial Management- You will maximize your property’s financial performance through effective collections and revenue growth strategies, expense management and resident retention programs. You will be an active participant in the annual budgeting process and management of capital expenditure plans. You will ensure all performance and financial reporting is delivered timely and accurately and will be a vibrant communicator of solutions that help drive better property performance. 
  • Marketing- You will work with your team to create, embrace and execute strategic marketing plans to attract and retain residents. You will maintain in depth knowledge of your local rental market and economic factors affecting occupancy and leasing and regularly shop other properties within your submarket to maintain up-to-date knowledge of competition. 

What you can bring to Waypoint…

  • Brand new lease up experience preferred
  • Must always demonstrate professionalism.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience multifamily with Class A community knowledge. 
  • Demonstrated history of strong supervisory leadership.
  • Keen ability to prioritize and plan work activities such as deadlines and reports.
  • Adept problem solver and possess excellent follow through skills.
  • Strong financial acumen in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of multifamily property management practices and processes: Fair Housing laws and regulations, building and grounds maintenance, resident relations, leasing, rent collection, eviction procedures, accounting principles, property safety, and use of property management and accounting software.
  • Strong proficiency in Yardi and CRM
  • Significant outreach marketing experience with extensive knowledge of markets, knowledgeable in high occupancy, sales and demonstrates strong closing ability.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with high level clientele.
