Position Description

You will serve as an Equipment Specialist (Precision Instruments and Scientific Equipment) in Metrology Division, Systems Engineering Department, and Systems Acquisition Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will coordinate technical efforts with other activities and organizations for timely completion of tasks in support of metrology and calibration programmatic objectives.
• You will prepare, coordinate, and integrate the acquisition and delivery of logistics support requirements for assigned Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment.
• You will identify technical problems and recommend solutions to higher authorities in support of assigned program.
• You will apply progressive working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of procurement regulations, negotiation, and budgeting to support assigned program/project.
• You will develop and process procurement documentation for Precision Instruments and Scientific equipment.
• You will interface with internal and external contacts regarding the latest developments in the metrology field, determining status on procurements, and resolving technical procurement issues.
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
