Underwriting Account Manager

Position

WCF is an A Rated insurance carrier that is growing and is looking for an applicant that wants to join a company with a great culture, great benefits, and great employees. We have an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join our team as an Underwriting Account Manager. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position that works out of WCF's Roseville, CA Office. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the CA Underwriting Manager and works directly with the CA underwriters. Responsibilities include managing accounts with respect to policy underwriting, processing of policy changes, and providing customer support to external agents and policyholders. This role involves various tasks as follows:

· Information gathering

· Risk analysis

· File documentation

· Processing of policy renewals and endorsements

· Taking calls and responding to emails from external customers

· Managing multiple priorities

· Maintaining high service level standards for all customers, both internal and external

Qualifications

The most qualified candidate will have:

· At least 1 year of customer service experience in the insurance industry.

· Competent in P & C insurance principles and terminology.

· Strong commitment to excellent customer service.

· Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

· Insurance industry certifications preferred.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong MS Office skills required, especially in Excel.

· Ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision.

· Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
